The scope for historic restoration included window repairs to restore and maintain the “historic fabric” to its original style of workmanship. Other elements included cedar shingle replacement, preservation of eighteenth century mantel, interior stone walls and cabinets.
The historic structure, part of the Dumont Library becomes an exhibit of the Bergen County Dutch stone houses to be visited by Dumont residents and the public.
